Sunday School is the result of Jesus telling us to "Go ye therefore, and teach..." (Matthew 28:19). It is a direct and simple outreach to our community. Sunday School is an integral part of the church ministries by providing a place to impart spiritual knowledge and to give an opportunity to worship as a means of expression. Sunday School gives us the chance to actively participate in learning the Word of God, and how it applies to our lives. The goal is to effect changes in the understandings, attitudes, and behaviors as Christian character and faith are being built. The final test of all teaching is in the changed life of the learner. The Sunday School and Bus Ministry continually reaches out to introduce others to Bible truths.
The Bus Ministry's mission is to fulfill the Lord's commandment in Luke 14:23, "And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled". Our motto is, "Every Child Matters!". We strive to make each and every child feel they are the sole reason we are here. With exciting and new promotions as well as an entertaining clown ministry, we continually endeavor to reach out to our community and see souls saved. This ministry greatly assists the Sunday School department by providing transportation. Two buses and two vans are currently in operation with routes throughout Lafayette, Clarks Hill, and Attica. |

The Married's Fellowship is a group of couples who meet once a month to enjoy fellowship, food and conversation. If you've been looking for a way to connect with other couples and build a great Christian marriage, then please join us at the next meeting. An annual marriage retreat is offered as a weekend conference for couples to build stronger marriages and grow in the Lord. Check out the Calendar of Events for future meetings and dates.

A group for all singles who are 18 or older to regularly get together for meetings, lunches, trips, special events, etc. This is quite a diverse group since the reasons for being single are quite different. Either you've chosen to be single, are divorced, or have gone through the loss of a spouse. We also have a lot of married couples who just like getting together with this group. "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations..." is the great commision given to the follower's of Christ. For some this is the call to work in the homeland, for others, this takes them far from home into foreign lands. Christ Memorial Temple has supported the United Pentecostal Church International's missionary works since the late 1960s. Members become "Partners in Missions" or PIM's by pledging financial and prayer support for a specific home or foreign missionary. The first Sunday of each month is designated "Missionary Sunday" when each missionary's' name and area of the world is acknowledged. Every four years missionaries return to the United States to visit churches across the country. They enrich us with reports of baptisms in the name of Jesus, of outpourings of the Holy Ghost, and of great revivals occurring around the world. We may not physically be able to "Go", but we are blessed to be a supportive partner.

As part of the Ladies Ministries of the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI), our function is to provide structure for various involvements within our local assembly and district. We actively support UPCI Compassion ministries, Mother's Memorial, Tupelo Children's Mansion, Daughters of Zion, World Network of Prayer, and the New Beginnings ministries. We also provide opportunities for individual spiritual growth through retreats, conferences, workshops and seminars. Annual fund raisers include a spring Parking Lot Sale, a fall Spice Sale, and the Christmas Bazaar. We offer spiritual support to one another through our local Prayer Sisters group, the Mother's Day Tea, and a Christmas Banquet/Retreat. Meetings are scheduled approximately every six weeks. Daughters of Zion prayer meetings are scheduled for the first Monday of each month at 6:45 pm.
